6/7/21 Car and camper Loaded I headed off on a 136 klm road trip to Lang Lang foreshore caravan park from Hopetoun Park Victoria, the home of Yakdoc.
10 - 14 C days where predicted for the week and after arriving, camp was set up and a hot cuppa enjoyed. The little Webber go anywhere BBQ was used to heat beef stew up and later was great for keeping me warm. 7/7/21 Wednesday morning the 7th was dam cold with fog on the horizon and, after heading out to the nearest channel the anchor was dropped and baited lines cast in. Conditions varied throughout the day from windy and cloudy, to fogged in then brilliantly clear sunny skies with glassed out water!!. The first of about 10 gummy shark pups showed up and kept me entertained throughout the day, eventually a nice keeper was caught and taken back in and after filleting at the boat ramp cleaning table they where bagged and stored in the Waeco freezer. Another crisp cold clear night under a million stars with the fire keeping me warm and a glass or 6 of red wine. 8/7/21 Launched early on a gorgeous sunny but cold day, 9C no bites most of the day then 1 keeper caught which was added to the freezer after filleting. cold night around the fire, more red wine etc etc. 9/7/21 launched early, not a single bite all day though the worst days fishing is better than the best day at work and, not having to clean fish when I got back in meant more time for drinking beer!!. A great trip, met some fantastic people and stayed at a great place to camp and kayak, cheers
